The first version of the new Apple iPad will go on sale in the US on 3rd April.

Customers in The States will be able to pre-order all iPads, including a Wi-Fi model, to pick up on 3rd April. All models will go on sale in the UK a few weeks later. The iPad’s unveiling in January 2010 was the most hotly anticipated technology launch in decades. The iPad, essentially a tablet computer, is hailed as the saviour of print media.
